Description
This is the pretty Wakefield River, in the Mid North of South Australia. The only time it really becomes a fast flowing 'river', is after heavy downpours in the surrounding hills and then it returns to this gentle flow. To the locals, its known as The Rocks Reserve with a lovely picnic area. Early pioneers used this location to camp when travelling north. Its also been a swimming spot for the locals for many, many years.
